Every now and then a cultivar finds its way into the garden completely by accident. This Super Glue clone came to me courtesy of a shipping error by Pigtail Gardens, and I couldn't be happier that it did. What began as an unexpected addition has quickly become one of the most impressive fast-finishing cultivars I've had the pleasure of growing.
At first glance, it's impossible not to notice the resin production. By harvest, the flowers are so heavily coated in trichomes that they appear almost silver in color. Under bright light, the buds sparkle with a thick layer of resin that extends from the tops all the way down through the lowers. It's the kind of flower that makes you stop and admire it before you ever think about smoking it.
The buds themselves are exceptionally dense—hard as rocks from top to bottom with very little variation throughout the plant. There are no disappointing popcorn buds hiding beneath the canopy here. Super Glue produces chunky, beautifully formed flowers that cure into some of the densest cannabis I've grown.
The aroma is every bit as unique as its appearance. The first thing that comes to mind is rubber cement—that strange but oddly satisfying pungency that gives this cultivar its name. Behind that unmistakable glue-like funk are notes of sweet earth, pine, and fuel that become richer as the flowers cure. It's not fruity or candy-like, nor is it overwhelmingly gassy. Instead, it occupies a category all its own—one that's difficult to describe but immediately recognizable once you've experienced it.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is just how quickly she finishes. This run was harvested at only 55 days of flower, an impressive accomplishment considering both the density and maturity of the finished product. I'm notorious for taking most cultivars 70 days or longer before I'm truly happy with them, but Super Glue simply doesn't ask for that much time. She stacks quickly, frosts heavily, and crosses the finish line weeks before many other cultivars are beginning their final swell.
While her appearance is certainly impressive, it's the effects that keep me coming back to this clone. Super Glue is unapologetically indica dominant. Within minutes, a wave of calm begins washing over both mind and body, gradually melting away the tension you've been carrying all day. There's no racing mind or anxious energy to be found here—only deep physical relaxation and a peaceful sense of contentment. It's the kind of cultivar that makes your favorite chair feel just a little softer and the worries of the day seem a little further away.
"Melting" is perhaps the best way I can describe the experience. Your shoulders relax. Your thoughts slow down. The world becomes quieter, warmer, and more cozy. It's wonderfully sedating without feeling unpleasantly heavy, making it an exceptional choice for evenings when relaxation is the only thing on the agenda.
Some cultivars earn their place in the garden through years of searching. Others arrive completely by accident. Super Glue was the happiest of accidents, and I have a feeling she'll be sticking around for a very long time.
